Over his 40 years in practice, Jim Fitzgerald has helped clients resolve a variety of business disputes involving many areas of the law in a wide range of industries. Jim has participated in over 400 mediations and been trained in various styles of mediation, including transformative mediation. This background, education and expertise provide him with the necessary tools to effectively mediate your dispute.
The experience Jim brings to arbitrations is backed by first-chairing 50 civil jury trials and dozens of arbitrations involving business disputes (including insurance disputes) before the AAA and JAMS, securities and financial disputes before NASD/FINRA, reinsurance disputes under ARIAS, and entertainment disputes before the Independent Film and Television Alliance, as well as judicial arbitrations. With that experience over 40+ years, Jim has the skills necessary to arbitrate disputes and render a reasoned award in a professional, fair, compassionate and cost-efficient manner.
